16 Failure gems… Why getting an "F" is a good thing…Huh?
Why getting an “F” is a good thing...discovering your 16 failure gems
No matter how many times you take a crack at things in life at times you’re going to fail. Being successful every time out is a fantasy.
Being well prepared is vital to avoid many letdowns. Preparation helps you come back after any letdown. Not being prepared for breakdowns creates disasters.
But flops are good learning gems. All letdowns have some real gems of wisdom… when you look for them.
Your 16 Great gems buried in failure.
1. Setbacks show you need to improve a skill. Maybe it was poor judgment or lack of wisdom but maybe not a lack of your desire to achieve.
2. You made some wrong choices. Your beliefs were not in line with reality.
3. Fiascos can be painful but it teaches you valuable lessons if you pay attention.
4. A bad result is your fault. You lack a certain skill but you can change with work. Your laziness, bad attitude, uncooperative nature or a fiasco of poor execution is your fault. It is a big problem.
5.Failing is your doorway to try again but when you decide you want to.
6. Big goof ups can be prevented to an extent. But sometimes no matter what you do you fail. It’s not if you’re going to fail but when. But preparation is your best prevention.
7. Failing is painful. But failing when you knew you could have done a better job by putting out better effort is brutal.
8. A flop has a very well defined scoreboard or grading system. You win or not. You either passed your test or not. Besides you know in your heart if you made a good effort.
9. Not getting it right does not mean you are a loser but you must take responsibility for your actions.
10.You own your flops when you complain, whine or give up.
11. You fail without enthusiasm and win with it
12. Persistence separates winners from losers in our game of life. You either put out your best efforts. If you don’t do your best you live life as a loser. It’s up to you and no one else.
13. Your possibility of losing is not a reason to baby, mollycoddle or cater to anyone. Every person must try to gain experience and wisdom through things which are not a success.
14. Failing is what it is and it is wrong to call it by any other name. Telling someone they did not fail when they failed helps no one.
15. Cheering yourself on after you fail is important. You must decide to move on so you can try again.
16. YOU TRIED…that is the biggest gem and only you paid for it and own it.
CONCLUSION… The “F” in failure hurts… But wondering your whole life if you could have done what you wanted to do if you just gave it a shot is a never ending sorrow. I’d rather have been the one who fumbled the ball on the field than be another face sitting in the stands with all the others
